The combination Mammoet-Hebo, was awarded the contract to remove the two cranes and pontoons, which tipped over on the 3rd of August 2015, while lifting a bridge section of 187 Tons. That went horribly wrong.
Utmost care is now taken to prepare a detailed plan to safely remove the two cranes and boom sections.
Below a summary of the plans as well as some Preliminary Incident Analysis. The Industry is awaiting the official investigation report, which the cause(s) of this unfortunate incident.
