During the first half of 2013, Jumbo shipped 44 locomotives to Indonesia in four shipments.
Each unit was lxwxh= 19.09m x 2.98m x 3.96m and weighed 116.8 Ton. It was not only the shipping which was carried out by Jumbo, but also the more complex job to transport the Locomotives from the Heavy Lift Vessel and placed them in the rail track, which was approx. 2 kms away.

Today, 3rd April 2013, Mv Fairpartner will commence discharging the largest tunnel boring machine (TBM) ever made at the port of Seattle.
The tunnel boring machine has been built by Hitachi Zosen Corporation and loaded at Osaka, Japan. It consists of total 48 pieces weighing 7.777 metric tons and measuring 31.606 cubic meters. The heaviest item is close to 900 metric tons.

Jumbo has successfully completed the TP-installation for the Anholt Offshore Wind Farm, off the Danish coast. Jumbo’s DP2 Heavy Lift Vessel Jumbo Javelin installed the 111 TP’s with a record-breaking installation rate of 3 TP’s per day.
The transport, installation, access to the TP’s and grouting was done without any Lost Time Injuries (LTI=0).

A video about the transport of heavy power generation equipment across the Andes Mountains from Arica in Chili to Santa Cruz in Bolivia, carried out by Jumbo in co-operation with subcontractor Cortez. Land slides, bridge re-enforcements and other obstacles were encountered but all successfully solved.

On the 22nd of October the Jumbo Javelin successfully completed the transport of a 1.125t shiploader from Sines, Portugal to Nouadhibou, Mauritania.
The centre of gravity of the shiploader was very off centre, therefore the shuttle needed to be extended in order to shift the centre of gravity to an acceptable location for lifting. When the shiploader was safely landed on deck, the shuttle was retracted again for transport, still leaving an overhang of 30m.
At Nouadhibou, the designated quay was completely exposed to the sea which resulted in a constant swell. This was well addressed beforehand and necessary precautions such as additional tugger winches where mobilized in order to safely control the load during discharge. The weight of the crane plus the required outreach of 21m and the fact that the crane had to be positioned in three rails (instead of two) made this a challenging operation which was completed just under 3.5 hrs.
