The XCMG model XGC88000 4,000 tonne capacity level crawler crane has performed its first job in Yantai, lifting a propylene tower in Wanhua Industrial Park, China.

The propylene tower weighed 1,680 tonnes and was 118 metres tall and 14.4 m wide. The XGC88000, which has a maximum load moment rating of 88,000 tonne-metres, was configured with an 108 m heavy boom and 33 m fixed jib. A new 1,000 tonne XGW1100 was used alongside the crawler for tailing.

XCMG sets new record for XGC28000 crawler

An XCMG XGC28000 crawler crane has set a new record after lifting a hydrocracking reactor weighing 1,240.2 tonnes.

Complete with the added weight of the slings and other rigging, the total weight of the lift was 1,340 tonnes.

For the lift, the 2,000 tonne capacity crawler was configured with a 60 metre heavy-duty boom, 340 tonnes of turntable counterweight and 11 tonnes of carbody counterweight. A 640 tonne superlift counterweight and 30 metre radius superlift were also used. The load was lifted at 14 metre radius where capacity is 1,577 tonnes.
